Beautiful 1 year old ‘Angie’ the pure bred Boston Terrier is a pretty special girl here at SNORT. Angie currently lives in NY and will remain in foster care while she receives some TLC and necessary medical care.
After coming to SNORT, Angie was diagnosed with a brain disease known as GME (Granulomatous meningoencephalitis), which is an inflammatory autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. An MRI revealed a leision on her brain stem. Treatment for GME involves suppressing the immune system. Angie is fortunate to be receiving great care at Cornell where she goes every few weeks for overnight infusions as her treatment regime.
When she is ready for adoption, Angie will need a very committed & patient human in her life and a home without children. She adores her foster boston terrier siblings and will let them know how much she misses them once she returns home from her overnight treatments.
SNORT is committed to helping this little girl on her path to wellness. If you would like to help contribute toward Angie’s medical fund, please consider becoming a sponsor by clicking the green tab above. Thanks!
