Handsome Jarvis is on the hunt for his forever home! A five-year-old pug mix, Jarvis is the consummate cuddle-bug who desperately wants a lap to call his own. Jarvis wants to be the center of his owner’s world and promises to repay them with lots of love, cuddles and a big smile.

Jarvis is very smart and obedient. He’s eager to please and loves learning new commands. He walks well on a leash and his foster mom thinks he’d do well at a dog park. It’s very important Jarvis has rules and structure. He needs to know his owner is the boss or he will be happy to jump into the role. He came to SNORT without structure but is doing really well now that he has rules in place.

There are a couple of things Jarvis isn’t too keen on – children and cats, so he’s in search of a child free, cat free home. Although Jarvis also doesn’t seem to care for small dogs, he does well with larger dogs. He is food and bone possessive so he is fed separately from other dogs. Jarvis was very thin when he came to SNORT. He may have been underfed in the past so every meal is very exciting to him. Jarvis’ love of food combined with being super smart makes for a great combination. He comes when called and he already knows sit and paw – who knows what else he can learn?!

Jarvis is a lovable, energetic and obedient little guy. He can leap over baby gates in a single bound! Quite the athletic dude! He is super energetic and loves to run! Don’t worry, though; he’s fully house trained so he can stay out of the crate when his humans are gone. He also has no destructive tendencies. Jarvis will benefit from a good daily workout to burn off his energy.

Jarvis was diagnosed with IBS but it is fully controlled with a slowdown dog bowl and grain free food, which will have to be continued in his forever home. Other than that, he’s a fully healthy guy.

He doesn’t necessarily need someone home all day but a mid-day potty break would be ideal. Oh, and did we mention he’s a bit on the vocal side? He’s come a long way and is being trained to keep the barking down. The training would need to continue.

Sweet Jarvis has been bounced around quite a bit and needs a stable home with humans who understand and love him. He’s a total energetic love bug who can’t wait to settle down in his forever home.
