More About Me

Looking to add a perfect gentleman to your home? Look no further than Prince, a sweet Boston Terrier looking for a home in which he can live out his golden years.

Despite the royal name, Prince is anything but a demanding royal. He is sweet, laidback and low-maintenance – quite the opposite of royalty, wouldn’t you say?!
Prince came to SNORT after his owner died and it’s quite obvious he was very loved for the first 13 years of his life. He is perfectly housetrained, calm and content to just curl up on a soft bed and snooze the day away.
He has no serious chronic health issues although he is deaf and blind. His eye pressure needs to be monitored – it trends toward the upper end of what is considered normal and if it gets too high, he would be in a great deal of pain. He also has a slight heart murmur; it’s possible that it has been there since birth and it currently causes him zero issues.
Ideally, his new home would have limited stairs so that he can get around safely. He is currently being fostered in an apartment and his foster mom carries him in and outside because he’s a tad unsure about elevators – totally understandable!
Clearly, he would do well in an apartment or home environment. He doesn’t notice children much due to his deafness and blindness but responds well to being pet by young kids. Prince is sometimes a tad dominant toward dogs he’s met (not in an aggressive manner at all!) but responds very well to correction by other dogs – all very normal doggie behavior and he would be fine going to a home with other dogs! He has not been exposed to cats but because he’s such a calm dude, cats would likely be just fine with him.
Prince’s favorite things are naps, snuggly beds and belly rubs – we told you, one low-maintenance little guy! Walks aren’t really his thing and a fenced-in yard would not be required. He also isn’t really into toys and resource guarding is a complete non-issue with this guy.
While he is fine home alone all day, eight hours seems to be about his max. He would do well with a petsitter for a mid-day check-in can if needed and he would also make a great co-worker!
If you’re willing to open your home up to royalty, Prince is your guy! Just make sure to have plenty of comfy places for him to snooze and ample time for belly rubs!
