Mr. Milton “Coco” Hershey is just so excited to find his forever family and he politely asked us to pass along what he’s looking for in his dream home.
Milton came to SNORT after a change in the living situation in his former home but don’t worry, he’s been in excellent hands in his foster home!
A 10-year-old, 22 lbs., pug mix, Milton will be happy just about anywhere. Like most pugs, he simply loves people and also likes the company of other dogs; even cats don’t bother him! He doesn’t need the companionship of another dog, but he wouldn’t argue against a doggie sibling(s), either.
While he’s untested with children, because he’s so easy going it’s likely he’d do well if his forever family had children.
His favorite things are walks and snuggle sessions – we told you, an easy-to-please guy! He’s not dominant by nature and has zero resource guarding or aggression issues.
Milton does, however, have a touch of separation anxiety. He does not like being left alone nor does he enjoy being crated. As he’s house trained, his foster mom is able to keep him uncrated during the day and she proudly reports Milton never has an accident nor has he ever gotten into anything he shouldn’t!
His separation anxiety manifests itself with some barking and whimpering, so apartment living may not be his ideal environment with neighbors in close proximity. What he’d really like is someone home all day but, if that’s not possible, a dog sitter or mid-day check-in is also just fine with him.
Did we mention he’s super smart to boot? He knows “no,” “come” and “sit.” We told you, a smart, well-behaved gentleman!
Milton has no chronic health concerns and because he’s a pug mix, he doesn’t seem to have the breathing issues typical of the pug breed, but his owners should still be cautious in extreme heat.
Milton has so much love to give and we cannot wait to find him his perfect family. He is currently being fostered outside of Allentown, Pa.
