More About Me

So here he is -- the most photogenic boy you have ever met. He is a mix of many things. He likes to be active yet loves to lounge around, submissive yet outgoing, a lover of people and smart too. Now that you have gotten here and past his amazingly good looks, please read what Ace will need in his forever home!

Ace needs someone who can devote time to play with him daily. He loves his people and a playful pup or too because his energy level and strength is much more than his foster family has ever seen in a bulldog (nothing compared to a lab of course but just something to keep him mind). Every single day he needs to romp in the yard and play with his toys. He loves to sprint and could use some continued training on the leash which is why a big fenced yard for him would be delightful.

He is also very sweet - he loves to give kisses and cuddle in bed every night. He is very smart (well not MENSA smart) but he sits and gives his paw every day for his breakfast and dinner. (He works for food. Can you believe the labor his foster mom makes him do?).

He would definitely love a forever home with an energetic furry sibling to keep him entertained. He is housebroken but can sometimes have an accident in the house if he goes too long without a potty break. Well wouldn’t you?

He is not a marker by any means and only goes if he truly has to. If left alone, he could get into mischief (perhaps chewing a shoe was suggested - but Ace pleads the Fifth) simply because he is smart and needs stimulation so an interactive family is a must. His foster family hasn’t seen this claimed mischief so it proves he just needs activity and play time and you.

He could use some more work on walks as he gets distracted very easily and wants to smell everything. He is strong (well not Hulk strong but still) very strong. He does takes redirection really well and his foster mom has no doubt he could be perfectly fine on the leash with continued work. He also knows "Sit" and "Paw". ( Do you? – just saying….smart guy).

Ace has allergies and needs to be on a special diet. Raw may be better for him if his forever home is open to that but he has been doing well on the whitefish kibble and wet food his foster family has been giving him. His allergies show up in the form of ear infections and itchiness. The food and more frequent baths (a few times a week) have been helping the itching tremendously but it should be noted that he is prone to ear infections and will likely have a few throughout the year - his forever home should stay on top of that. Perhaps an allergy shot would help as well.

Ace doesn't realize how big or strong he is, he reminds his foster mom of a very young puppy in a large dogs body. (He would prefer a Game of Thrones reference here). He doesn't ever mean any harm, he just wants to love his people.. at full speed! (Think Marmaduke).

Owners with dog experience are key to help with his energy and stimulation to always be learning. He will definitely need a break midday to pee and would love a midday play date. He would be fine to take to work once he calms down and settles in. He doesn't bark at all and once he's done playing or settles in for sleep he just lays around lounging with you.

Ace is so goofy and playful it’s impossible to be in a bad mood around him. Yes, he may require more maintenance with his allergies and needs daily romp and play time but he is absolutely worth it and once you're in a routine - he is a walk in the park ( ohhhhh…a walk in a park would be nice too….sorry….Ace was reading and digressed. Remember he is smart).

So in conclusion - Ace would thrive in a home with a large fenced in yard with a forever family that can have older kids (younger could be ok if they (and their parents) are dog savvy since his full of energy) or just an adult or two with lots of energy to be active with him. He would also love a dog sibling. He has allergies but those can be handled.

So now you can go back to gazing at his photos. Yes, we know. He is good looking. Are you his forever photographer? Submit a SNORT adoption application for Ace today!
