Sweet. Playful. Affectionate. What more could you ask for in a perfect little canine companion?
Honey the Boston Terrier is all of these things – and more! This gem of a gal came into SNORT’s care when her owner had to relocate overseas. Although she is 9 (almost 10!) years of age, Honey has the ambition of a young pup! Honey’s favorite activity is chasing after balls, frisbees and squeaky toys! She would spend the whole afternoon playing fetch and still not be tired!
Honey is a very healthy gal for her age. She has a luxating patella which slows her down at times but it sure doesn’t stop her from playing! She has no other chronic health issues and does not require any daily medications.
Honey is happiest when she can accompany her people in whatever they are doing and wherever they are going. She thrives on attention and loves to meet new people! After an afternoon of playing fetch, Honey is content to settle down on the couch next to her people and take a nap. She is crate trained but will cry when put in a crate because she would much rather be next to her people.
Honey knows some obedience cues, such as “sit” and “come” and will bark to let her people know when she has to go outside. She is also a good guard dog and will give an alert bark if she hears a strange noise outside.
A perfect home for Honey would have a fenced-in yard so she can run around and play fetch to her heart’s content and people who would enjoy including her in their daily activities. She has not been exposed to cats in her foster home and mostly ignores the other dogs there. She is accustomed to being an only dog and does not make an effort to interact with other dogs.
