Bob & Butch are routine-oriented, quiet home-bodies who are seeking a home that is looking for double the love! These senior boys are a truly bonded pair and must be adopted together. Bob is blind and depends on Butch to be his eyes, so they are definitely a “package deal” and will not be separated. They even crate together!
Bob is 10 years old and is described as a gentle giant, tipping the scales at nearly 30 lbs. Butch is an active and friendly 9 year old boy who weighs in at just 24 lbs. Both are very well behaved, but do need to wear belly bands indoors to prevent marking. (We think Bob tends to mark because he does not know his surroundings yet, so we’re hopeful that this will subside once he is comfortable in his forever home.)
Bob & Butch’s favorite pastime is lying in their dog bed together, chewing on a bully bone. Both enjoy a good sniff around the neighborhood, but don’t require a lot of exercise. They’d love to have a fenced yard, but even though Bob is blind, he does walk well on a leash with guidance.
Due to Bob’s eye condition, he will require eye drops every day. Both boys have just had dental cleanings and extractions and have no ongoing health issues.
Of course they’d love to have someone who would be home all day to snuggle, but someone who works part time or who had a dog walker to give them potty breaks would be OK for them, too. They have lived with kids and other dogs in the past and would be comfortable in any type of home environment -- from the city to the suburbs -- but Butch is excited easily and can be vocal, so apartment living or going to work with you may be a less than ideal situation.
This duo’s foster home says “Bob and Butch are the sweetest and did not have an easy life. They deserve to retire in a loving home together.”
