Buster is 56lbs of sweet, goofy love who is looking to bring laughter and joy to your family! Buster was surrendered to SNORT when his family went through a life change and was unable to provide him with the care he needed. Now that his medical needs have been taken care of, he is the happiest bulldog on the block!
Some of Buster’s favorite things to do are sleep, nap, snore and nap some more. This 9 year old English Bulldog is a very easygoing and laid back fellow. Buster has limited vision and can startle easily, but as soon as he realizes it’s you, his little nubbin tail starts wiggling at the speed of light! Belly rubs and chewing on cow hooves are also high on his list of favorites.
He is unable to navigate more than 3 or 4 stairs, so a single-story home or a home where he does not have to access a lot of stairs to get to the potty area would be best. He is fully housebroken and usually only goes out twice a day to potty (this is by his own preference, not due to a restrictive schedule.)
Buster has met dogs of all sizes and temperaments in his foster home. He does very well with small dogs, but larger dogs who are very active can be challenging for him. A home with other mature, calm dogs would suit him just fine. Buster has not been around children in his foster home, but previously lived with children. We believe he’d be very happy in a home with children who are old enough to understand that they need to be gentle to him.
Buster is happy to sleep the day away while you’re at work and does not need someone home all day. He would make a great office mascot if you were able to bring him with you to work though! He is very outgoing and loves everyone he meets!
Buster’s physical maintenance would best be suited to someone familiar with bulldogs. He needs his ears and his very deep face folds cleaned daily to prevent infection. He tends to get itchy paws, so regular paw soaking and paw balm is a necessity for soothing his sore toes. Buster also has dry eye, which requires him to have prescription eye ointment and lubricant gel applied 2x daily and an annual visit to an ophthalmologist. He’s an absolute gem when you’re handling him and doesn’t fuss for any of his “spa treatments”.
If you’re looking for a dog who greets you with a big goofy grin when you come home from a hard day at work, Buster would be happy to oblige! Submit a SNORT adoption application today!
