More About Me

Oh, oh, Domino...just like the song by Van Morrison, Domino, the senior Boston Terrier is a sweet, laid back kind of guy.

While Domino will on occasion show some of that signature Boston Terrier sassiness, what he likes best is to just be with his person. He loves walks in the neighborhood, lounging on the deck or in the backyard, going on car rides- whatever his person wants to do, he’ll be right there to do it together. He also loves his crate and will go in on his own and sleep quietly inside.

Domino would do best in a home with quiet homebodies. He is indifferent to cats and prefers laid back dogs. Domino would also be fine as a single dog. He does not show much interest in toys, but loves to make beds out of blankets and snooze away.

Domino came to SNORT from a shelter where he was surrendered due to some medical conditions. He had a few low grade mast cell tumors removed in February and they may reoccur due to his history of having them but has not let that effect his fondness for life. He also has limited vision due to cataracts. He does take several over the counter medications and supplements daily.

Due to his limited vision Domino is considered special needs. He needs a home with very limited stairs and a fenced in yard to which he can easily go in and out. He would also do best in a home with older children only. While he does not seem to startle easily in his foster home, he has had no contact with children which could startle him due to his limited vision. While cats are fine, he would prefer to live with only laid back dogs due again to the nature of his limited vision. Most importantly, he would like to be with someone who could spend a good part of their day with him, so a retiree or someone who works from home would be best.

Domino is a sweet, gentle soul looking for a quiet home in which to spend his golden years. Could it be yours?
