This sweet spotted angel is Willow. By just looking through her pictures you can tell she’s a typical lovable bulldog. Willow is a one year old spayed English Bulldog currently living her best life on a farm in Maryland. Unfortunately, she came to SNORT because her owner passed away. The owner’s relatives were no longer able to care for her, so she was surrendered to us. Now, it’s our turn to find her the best forever home for her to start this next chapter.
According to her foster parents, Willow is a dreamboat. They describe her as gregarious, playful, outgoing, friendly, and a “lovebug”. She loves to play outside, wrestle with other dogs, and take long walks. She is also just as happy to be curled up in typical bulldog fashion, and take a long nap on the couch. She loves to be in the midst of family life, and would flourish in a home where she is cherished like a true family member.
Willow loves to play with other dogs and she lives with two large breed dogs without issue. She is very astute. She can pick up from the other dogs when they want to be left alone and she is respectful. She is about 50 lbs., so a smaller or fragile dog might not be her best new playmate. She’s had exposure to the farm life and has been in contact with ducks, chicks, horses and barn cats from a distance.
Due to her still being a puppy and having many new experiences, her foster parents want to note that she has NO fear. That being said, she has no sense of self-preservation around vehicles, and doesn’t find them threatening. It is imperative that her forever home takes her safety into consideration if she is placed in a home in a high traffic or busy area.
An ideal home for Willow would be a home with an older or younger couple, a family with kids, other dogs, and a home where the owners have dog experience. Willow would thrive in a situation where she has a companion, as she now lives in a home with 2 kids and 2 dogs. She loves to free roam, but is able to be crated for 3-4 hours. She is only in a dog pen during the evening and when her foster parents leave the house. Willow’s new home is REQUIRED to have a fenced in yard. This gal deserves to run free, and feel the wind in her wrinkles. She would do just fine in the suburbs, townhouse or in a single family home.
Willow doesn’t require someone to be home at all times, but she will need a bathroom break during the work day. She is housebroken, but is still a puppy so an occasional accident wouldn’t be out of the question. She would also do great as a “work companion” if the situation provides. She isn’t a scholar, but she knows her name and can sit on command.
Willow is a young and healthy, her only health “issue” is her cherry eye. This will need to be corrected once the veterinarians open back up for elective surgeries. Currently, she only requires daily eye drops and ointment.
Willow’s new family will feel like they hit the jackpot when they bring her home. All 50lbs of her wrinkly, lovable self. Are you that family?
