This is Mabel. Clearly, you have already noticed how adorable she is. She knows it too. She enjoys being active and has been compared to a toddler by her foster mom. She has two speeds. On and off.
Mabel was rescued by a good Samaritan who contacted S.N.O.R.T. to get her the medical care she needed. Mabel had a cherry eye and a hernia that were fixed while she was spayed. She also had itchy skin that her foster mother has gotten under control. Mabel knows her basic commands and is as sweet as the day is long but she wants to be a busy little girl like all 10 month old Frenchies. She loves toys of all kinds and will play with them for hours.
Mabel needs a family that can give her structure and a routine. She is mostly house broken and works at it constantly. Mabel is crate trained but would prefer to be out and about as she is not a couch potato. Mabel can startle at some noises or at people, first entering a home, so a calm environment would be best for Mabel.
Mabel would enjoy a home with a yard and family members that can devote time to her development. Mabel loves to pick up just about anything, so a home with small children and toys would not be ideal. She will need to be watched at all times to make sure she doesn’t pick up things other than her toys. This is part of her puppy stage and as she matures in her new home, with structure, she will learn that not everything is a toy.
She would love the company of other sweet dogs and does fine in her foster home with her foster siblings (unknown for cats). She would prefer someone who works from home or is home for most of the day. Mabel is pure sweetness but is also a wiggly little girl, so will need a family that can be patient with her and show her the ropes to be the best grown up doggy ever.
