More About Me

I'm a man of simple pleasures and have only a few requirements of my people. If you are a laid back human, please check out my forever home wish list below:
1. You must love the company of a handsome middle aged pug with a distinguished silver muzzle.
2. You must be a good cook and willing to share a few samplings with a pug food enthusiast. (low calorie of course) The kitchen is my 'go to' space in the house. If it falls on the floor, it's mine.
3. you must enjoy relaxing with me on the sofa. I prefer chew toys and head pats while you watch tv or read. You get lots of pug kisses in return.

My name is Bert, but my friends and foster family call me Berty. I'm 8 years old, weigh 25 pounds and live in Exton, PA. I love to be with my people all the time. I am an expert lap warmer in the winter months, here in the chilly northeast. I consider lap warming one of my important purposes in life.  If I'm not directly on your lap, I'm right beside it...accompanying you at all times. I'm also perfectly house trained and have never had an accident or marked in my foster home.

I came to the S.N.O.R.T. program because I lived with wee people who dropped things on the floor and they did not fully understand requirement #2 above. The S.N.O.R.T. people have decided I would thrive best in a home without any wee people. I truly prefer no children at all, just adults & teenagers. So now that we've straightened out that food on the floor is mine, let's move on to my other positive qualities.

Foster mama will tell you that I am happy, confident, super adaptive, and get along well with the other dogs in the house, both male and female. I LOVE to sleep in the big bed with the people and resident dogs, and also enjoy naps on the sofa. Sleeping and eating are equally important to lap warming on my daily goal sheet. I also enjoy hanging out in the yard and chiming in with the other dogs - giving a friendly bark to passerbys. I prefer an environment without a lot of outdoor commotion since I am known to state my opinion when I see excessive outdoor activity.  I consider myself a bit of a pug super hero, warning you of outdoor disturbances.

I am an overall healthy boy. I'm getting a much needed dental at the end of October, so my teeth will be whiter when you meet me. I also have a sensitive belly and take digestive enzymes and fish oil with my food.  Once during foster care, I was treated for suspected allergies, receiving an injection for a goopy eye, which has since cleared completely. So you see, I'm in great shape for an 8 year old.

If you are the right fit for this super hero, submit a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application today to make room for Berty!
