Young Beatrice, the English Bulldog, is perhaps the most loving bully you will ever meet. In fact, she is so beloved in her foster home, that her mama would be casting an adoption application herself if she didn't already have 3 dogs. Beatrice is being fostered near Portland, ME, and is officially available for adoption.
Like many of the current S.N.O.R.T. residents, Beatrice made the long journey from China to the United States last month. Although she may not realize that she is a survivor, Beatrice appears to be loving her new life & aims to keep her human friends entertained with her goofy and affectionate bulldog antics. This young lady is estimated to be 1-3 years old and weighs 46 pounds. She has a lot of puppy energy.
Beatrice's favorite activities include doing 'zoomies' in the fenced yard with her foster Boston Terrier brother, but also thoroughly enjoys a well deserved nap after play. She is the type of dog who will need stimulation and moderate exercise, but not a rigorous hike. She is fond of belly rubs and playing hard -therefore she is not recommended to live with children under 5. This young lady would be thrilled to have a fenced yard, although it's not required. Bea just wants someone who is looking for a new BFF so she can be with people as much as possible. Depending on your job, Beatrice would also make a good work buddy, and currently accompanies her foster mom to work each day.
Medically, Beatrice is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She was treated for mild ear allergies in foster care and has interdigital cysts that are healing. She also has signs of arthritis in her knees. Bea is just learning the ropes of living in a home and is already about 90% house trained. She sleeps in a crate at night without objection or accidents, but prefers to not be crated during the day.
As cute as Bea is, she doesn't photograph well because she prefers to lick you in the face instead. She has different colored eyes which are very unique and compliment her silly nature. If you are smitten with Miss Beatrice and ready to welcome this engaging gal into your home, submit a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application.
