This itsy, bitsy red mister is Canelo. Although he may share his name with a famous boxer, make no mistake, this Canelo is a lover, not a fighter. At just 2 years old, and 16 pounds, Canelo is turning heads where ever he goes. Right now he is spending his summer at "Camp S.N.O.R.T." and is fostered near Philadelphia.
This youngster busies himself playing with toys and is especially fond of balls. You will also spy Canelo surrounded by his toys, sometimes waging a game of war with stuffed toys in which he always wins. He enjoys a daily nap and will throw his tiny self into his favorite person's lap. Described as a champion snuggler, Canelo is very inquisitive and thoroughly enjoys the company of others. He would be ever so thrilled to find a forever home in which a human is home most of the time. He will show his appreciation by giving you butterfly kisses.
Also, an expert jumper, Canelo is best suited to a home with older, dog savvy children (over 13) or adults only. He gets along with all the dogs in his foster home, regardless of size or gender. He is untested with cats.
Summer camp isn't all fun and games. This boy is also working hard on learning the rules of the house. He's a bit baffled that leg lifting is only welcomed outdoors, but he is willing to wear belly bands inside and promises to continue to improve his grade in potty class. He knows to do the big stuff outside. Canelo is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and has no underlying medical conditions that we are aware. He is not a fan of the crate, and would rather roam freely.
Canelo's absolute favorite part of camp is that every day is a new adventure and he is a true adventure seeker. Weather you live in the city or suburbs, apartment or home, if you are looking for a side-kick to go on outings, Canelo will be first to raise his paw to be chosen.
