Despite his shout-it-out name, little Boomer is a loving, friendly, and affectionate pup who bonds easily with his humans. He is also a smart and active boy who can keep himself busy with toys, loves to play with his humans, enjoys car rides, and loves good belly rubs.
Rescued from a hoarding situation, he’s probably had it with loads of canine and whatever else company he had, so he needs a home without other dogs, cats, or children under 13. Boomer also resource guards his food and toys which is something that his new owner needs to work on.
His favorite things to play with are squeaky toys, chewy toys, and of course, the cherished ball! Boomer is totally house and crate trained and knows some basic commands including sit, stay and come. He is also a healthy boy who brings no medical issues with him to his new home.
An ideal home for Boomer would be with an older couple who has some knowledge of handling short- nosed dogs. He will do best in a home with dog-savvy adults.
A quiet neighborhood would also be best. A single-family home in the suburbs with a fenced-in backyard for him to roam and do his business in would be ideal.
Here’s what his foster mom has to say about Boomer:
He’s lovable, fun to be with, very playful, friendly and so handsome!
