Play, play, play! Little Leroy has one major thing in mind, and it is to PLAY. This little munchkin loves everyone and everything, and he hopes that whoever is in his immediate vicinity wants to do what he does, which is have fun.
This happy, healthy little guy puts a smile on everyone’s face, except sometimes, in his great quest for playtime, he misses cues put out by other dogs, which hasn’t yet, but could get him into trouble if he’s not watched carefully. Therefore, a home with either none, or one or two very laid back, tolerant dogs would work.
The number one thing Leroy needs is a family who can help him deal with his boundless energy. He needs activity and someone to be with him when he attempts to climb the baby gate or scale the backyard fence. He is not one bit aggressive, but our little friend is a bit on the mouthy side, something you will need to help him outgrow. He also loves to chew – everything – so be aware that valuable, chewable things could be fair game for Leroy.
House training is almost there. He is crate trained and is working on the “sit” command. Leroy’s health is excellent, but his ears tend to be on the waxy side, so be prepared to clean them every week.
Leroy’s new home needs to be able to keep up with him, channel his energy positively, and keep his little mind focused and busy. A suburban or rural environment in a townhouse or single-family home are his ideal destinations. He also loves new places and has done really well when his foster mom took him to work.
