Just in time for Valentine's Day this heartthrob is wooing all the girls. At just 15 months old, Ramsey the Boston Terrier is full of energy and is looking for a human partner who likes to take walks and play tug of war. Ramsey was surrendered to S.N.O.R.T. due to family changes and his previous owners wanting to find the best possible home where Ramsey would receive all the love and attention he deserves. This 19-pound nugget is being fostered near Albany, N.Y. and is officially available for adoption!
In addition to walking and playing tug of war, Ramsey's other favorite activities include fetch, treats, destuffing toys, snuggling with his favorite person and getting seconds and thirds in the treat department. He is eager to please, but is young and mouthy when he plays, so a home without human puppies is recommended for this high energy mister. We think he would do best with teen age or older humans and would probably be ok with another same sized canine companion or as an only pet. He seems intimidated by large dogs on his walks. Ramsey is untested with cats.
This rock star has a few tricks up his sleeve and can show off commands including sit, stay, lay down and paw. He is very food motivated, so learning new commands has been a breeze as long as he receives ample rewards. Crate trained and house trained, he tries hard to be a proper gentleman in the home and is very willing to continue his manners training, particularly when it comes to not jumping and biting the people's sleeves for attention. He is in excellent health and has received his neuter.
Ideally Ramsey's perfect match would be a home with at least one person who is around all day and can offer a fenced yard, or a long jaunt for him to burn off some energy. He requires a high level of exercise and a person devoted to putting in the time to train due to his young age. Described as sweet, smart and snuggly by his foster mom, this youngster has a lot to offer the right person/family and he can adapt to just about any environmental setting: city, suburbs, home, apartment, etc.
