More About Me

Did you know that Zeppole is an Italian dough ball? It's only fitting that an English Bulldog who is as sweet as honey and squishy as dough is named after this delightfully tasty Italian dessert. How someone so sweet was found as a stray in PA is somewhat baffling, but that is Zeppole's back story. Fortunately, she was discovered and brought to a shelter who in turn reached out to S.N.O.R.T.

As the weeks in foster care quickly passed and summer marched on, Zeppole began to blossom, discovering life in a home is far better than life on the streets. Nearly a Bulldog genius, Zeppole has already learned a number of commands, and will eagerly show off her new vocabulary of sit, paw, wait, lay down, go and the touch command which helps her from becoming distracted when meeting newcomers.

This enthusiast will wiggle her butt when she sees humans or canine play friends and enjoys a good cuddle on the sofa with her people after the excitement of the day is done. She would thrive in an active household where she gets an abundance of attention and does not require a fenced yard. Zeppole loves all people, but at just 2 years old and 54 pounds of Bulldog chunk, she may be too enthusiastic for children under 5, and small breed dogs. We are unsure how she feels about cats.

Described as playful, gregarious and silly, Zeppole is also amazingly tolerant and will accept ear cleanings, tooth brushing and nail trims. She has all nice and no naughty bones in her sturdy frame. She can be observed playing with her stuffed toys by throwing them in the air and catching them if a human or another dog is not available for play. She is crate trained and mostly housetrained. Overall, she's a real treat!

The ideal home for this youngster would include property for outdoor and indoor explorations, people around most of the day, an active family wanting a sidekick, neighbors who don't mind some random barking, and the ability to meet and greet other dogs either in a neighborhood, or at a dog park.

This healthy girl is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Other than mild allergies, she has no known medical issues.
