More About Me

Introducing: one funny, friendly, feisty Frenchie named Loki. This boy brings all good things along with him, including a personality plus that will put a smile on your face every day.

Loki came into rescue after a stint as a breeding dog and was subsequently adopted by the breeder’s parents who became too old and sick to care for him. Translation: some very lucky family will now have the chance to adopt Loki as their own.

This pup is full of playful energy and in his gleeful exuberance, he can be a bit rough around the edges. However, it is all play. We think he may be somewhat much for young children, so he needs a home with no kids less than 5.

If we can find some words to describe this awesome boy, they would be busy, friendly, smart, dominant, and active. We can add that he is obsessed with his humans, especially those who make the mistake of rubbing his belly because he will paw at them if they dare stop.

In his foster home, Loki gets along famously with the resident pug. The golden retriever? Not so much. This could be a big dog thing, so a home without a larger canine might be a safer bet. In the beginning of his foster home residency, he did show a little food aggression with the pug, but with time and some gentle guidance, that behavior stopped.

Loki has no health issues, except for a chronic dry nose, which is treated with a dab of butter on it. This he is not a fan of, and he has a little temper tantrum when it is rubbed on.

Toys? Any toy is a hit with Loki, especially Nyla bones which he chews away on to his heart’s content. Routine? Tell him what to do and when and he’s in. He will take no time to adapt to the routine in his adoptive home.

Because he is such a fun and flexible boy, there is not a situation that wouldn’t work for him. (except for young children).

As always, let’s hear it from the foster mom: Loki is going to make a great pet for someone. He is crate trained and he sleeps in the crate at night time. He’s not mischievous but he does love attention. He likes to be the number one. He adapted to my home very quickly and got into routine. He walks while on a leash he also goes outside and does his business and comes back in. He loves to play the only thing is that he’s a little bit rough when he plays so it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to place him in a home with small children as he may not come over. He’s a little pushy because he wants your attention. He loves my kids and people just he doesn’t get along with our golden retriever who is huge!
