SNORT Rescue (“SNORT,” “we,” “us”) is an all-volunteer, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue for short-nosed dogs. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit an adoption application, volunteer application, questionnaire or reference check, surrender request, home visit report, contact form, or newsletter sign-up, we collect what you enter, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, household and pet details, references, and any photos or documents you attach.
- Donations, sponsorships and purchases. When you donate, sponsor a dog, or buy from our store, we collect your name, email, billing and shipping details, and the order or donation amount. Payments are processed by our payment providers, such as PayPal. We do not store your full card number on this website.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, we and our hosting and security providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and dates and times, and we use cookies to keep the site working and secure.
- Embedded content. Some pages show content from social media, such as our Facebook feed. Those services may set their own cookies and collect information when you view that content.
How we use your information

- To process donations, sponsorships and orders, and to send receipts and confirmations.
- To reply to your questions and send messages about your application, donation or order.
- To send our newsletter, only if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping requirements.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- SNORT volunteers and foster homes who help review applications and care for dogs.

- Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of SNORT, our dogs, or others.

We use cookies that are necessary for the site, such as for the shopping cart, checkout, login and security. Embedded social content may add cookies from those services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as checkout, may not work without them.
How long we keep information
We keep application, adoption, foster and volunteer records for as long as needed to run our programs and for our records. Donation and order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. We delete or anonymize other information when it is no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or system can be guaranteed completely secure.
