If you describe yourself as an adventure seeker rather than a wallflower, Cali the 15 month old English Bulldog pup would like to meet you. Cali weighs a svelte 29 pounds and resides with her foster family near Annapolis, MD, but is on a mission to find an active forever family.
Cali's favorite hobbies include roaming the property and finding treasures, otherwise known as sticks. Daily leash walks are also high on the priority list. She currently resides on a farm and has a great deal of open space to explore. Known to be one of the most athletic bulldogs you will meet, this gal thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and would love to have a fenced yard in her forever home in which she can run and play. She loves all people, young and old alike, but can be a bit boisterous and is best suited to a family with children over 5 years old or adults only.
After a busy day of stick gathering, Cali is content to sit on the chair or sofa with you and join in with whatever the evening activity may be. You won't find her tucked in a corner or snoozing in a quiet space. This gal wants to be part of the family, and is content to chew on her rope toy, bone, or squeaky while you watch tv.
In foster care, Cali lives with a Great Dane and another large mixed breed dog and enjoys their company. She is young and not yet well versed in dog etiquette. If another dog is not interested in playing, Cali doesn't pick up on those signals. This energizer bunny would be best suited to a home with another playful canine companion who wouldn't mind being pestered once in a while.
Depending on your job, Cali would welcome the opportunity to be part of your work day too. She rides well in a car (even hops in by herself), and would love to busy herself exploring the workplace or becoming an office greeter. She is house trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is trained to sleep in a crate, but does not prefer to be in one if there are fun activities to be had instead.
Medically, Cali has been treated for skin and ear infections. She was surrendered by her previous owner due to finances. She is also prone to allergies and may require meds to combat them in the future.
