Wanted: one perfect home for a very special dog. Wouldn’t she look beautiful under your Christmas tree?
Betsy is a veritable love bug who wants two, simple things – a human to cuddle with, and a human who will throw her a tennis ball.
Friendly with everyone human, canine, and we are not sure about feline, she loves to go on walks and “say hello” to everyone! In fact, when she sees another dog, she cries when her human can’t stop for her to nose sniff a potential friend.
Betsy is loaded with personality, and what you see one minute may not be what you see the next. She can find her way into mischief (think garbage can), loaf around with the best of them, and be more active than a typical bully.
She acts as a sort of sentinel sitting guard on the couch until everyone in the household has arrived home. Then she is happy.She becomes even happier when it’s bedtime and she has a human she can crawl into bed with.
Betsy is a healthy girl with some minor allergies that pop up around her face when the seasons change. She will need medication and/or injections to treat her skin during those times.
Her kingdom for a tennis ball is truly Betsy’s mantra! She also likes anything that squeaks or that she can run after. A puzzle toy works to keep her busy.
Her ideal family is one with kids (not under 5) and other dogs, and ideally a family who will take her places to do fun things with other people and pets. Betsy would do well in a city or suburban environment, and in a townhouse or single-family home. Requirement: fenced in yard for her to run around and chase her beloved tennis ball.

Betsy will make a great addition to anyone. She is extremely friendly and sweet and will be your best friend as long as you do two things: cuddle and throw her some tennis balls. She is a fast learner and wants her forever home.
