Betty

Betty

Easy-peasy, sweet Betty just wants a loving family, special food, and a cozy blanket, all she can call her own.

Having been neglected as far as medical care, she is now on the way to being her best self with proper vet care, diet, and the use of daily eye drops.

Betty was not spayed when she came to her foster home, so slow introductions with the resident old man EBD were a must. Even though she will be spayed by the time she is adopted into her new home, controlled intros with resident canines are highly recommended.

Betty’s needs are simple. A game of ball in the morning, a short walk before or after the heat of the day, and a blanket she can claim as her very own. Betty is also a master cuddler! Heaven is finding that special person she can nestle in with on the couch in the evenings. She is on a special diet because of crystals found in her urine, a matter that will need monitoring in the future,

The definition of laid back, Betty lets foster mom put in her eye drops without any issues and she takes treats gently. However, she is not a fan of loudness, as in vacuum cleaners, leaf blowers, and lawn mowers. Quelling her reactions to loudness is a work in progress.

Because she is such an easy, laid-back girl, Betty will do well in most any family, in most any living environment. City living might be an adjustment for her, but once she gets the noise issue under control, she’d be fine.

Here’s what Betty’s foster Mom has to say:

Betty is such a sweet girl. She just needs someone who is patient and willing to show her the ropes while she settles into her new digs. She loves snuggling on the couch at night.
