More About Me

Loving, Cuddly, Funny – those were the 3 words used to describe this hunk of a French Bulldog.

Biggie came into rescue due to uncontrolled seizures that his former family could not support financially. Since being in rescue – Biggie has been stabilized with proper medication and nutrition.

Biggie is an amazing companion. He loves to lie around and chew on his bone or stuffed toy. He will sit for his dinner or a treat. And in typical Frenchie style, he will come when he wants to or feels like it. Most of the time, Biggie is quite laid back and a loaf. However, as soon as he knows he is going for a walk, he becomes the hulk and is very strong. He could use some training on properly walking on a leash. He LOVES to wander (stumble) around the fenced back yard and snoop at anything and everything.

Biggie does not walk normally because of the medications and one could say he’s like having a drunk toddler. He has to be kept away from stairs because he WILL fall down them due to the lack of coordination caused by his medication. A one level home or an apartment with an elevator would be his best fit. He can now go up the stairs if needed but will have to be carried down – which isn’t too fun with a big guy 32-pound guy like him. A house with wall to wall carpeting or many rugs would be great, as he tends to have a difficult time with hardwood floors.

Biggie LOVES to be around people and other dogs. He would do well going to work with you -- or if you work from home, even better. He would do well in any social environment and isn’t fazed by much. No stairs and limited flooring without carpet would be best for his walking. He is so easy going and adapts so well, he would do well as long as someone is able to monitor him and keep up with his seizure management. Seizure experience is always a benefit.
