Brandi & Cierra

Brandi & Cierra

Good things come in twos, and that certainly applies to Brandy and Ciera, two bonded
sisters. Except in their case, good things also come in “ones” because they are looking
for one perfect forever home for the both of them!
These girls are more like fraternal twins rather than identical. Each gal has her own
unique personality and when you put them together, you have perfection.
Brandy and Ciera arrived at SNORT with obvious signs they hadn’t really enjoyed the
good life up until now. They were both a bit skittish, not very good on leashes, and had
some work to do on potty training. But they were true diamonds in the rough because
they are now shining brightly in their foster home!
Both girls are love bugs. Brandy is slightly more affectionate than her sister; she’ll even
forgo mealtime for some extra snuggles! Ciera has a bit more pep in her step but both
are sweet and affectionate. Brandy can give or take playtime, but Ciera loves a good
antler on which to chew or a puzzle toy to occupy her time. They have done well with a
younger child they met and also warmed up to a doggie visitor in their foster home.
They have not been tested around cats, however. But it’s pretty safe to say they’d do
well in a home with children or other dogs of similar temperament, although that’s not
required since they have each other.
Brandy and Ciera rely on each other to feel safe and secure; they even share one crate,
so no need to buy a second one. Speaking of crates, both have made great progress in
their house training. They will still have an occasional accident inside, but until they
arrived in their foster home, they had never received any training whatsoever, so there’s
a bit of a learning curve! They do prefer to do their business outside in the yard rather
than on a leash, so a fenced-in yard is required. They’re also still a bit skittish and can
get nervous around loud, city noises, so a fenced-in yard makes them feel more
comfortable. They also need a little time to warm up to new places and faces; they are
far from aggressive, just a little timid, so a regular schedule and positive reinforcement
will go very far with them!
While loud city noises may not be their jam, car rides certainly are, especially when they
result in a trip to a new area or park. And both are very treat motivated!
Despite not having the best start in life, both are relatively healthy. Both have had some
tummy issues, but that’s likely due to Brandy having Giardia and being on meds and
Ciera getting a bit overly excited at times! She also has a hooded vulva that her foster family cleans

regularly and there haven’t been any issues.

If their family works outside of the home, they’ll be just fine spending the day alone as
long as they get a mid-day check-in.
This really is a rags to riches story – times two! A true fairy tale and SNORT can’t wait to
see what the next chapter has in store for them, so get your application in!
