Just in time for the summer Olympic games, Buddha, the English Bulldog anxiously awaits the swimming competition! This girl loves being outdoors on her foster family's farm and enjoys water (and mud). We sometimes think Buddha is half Bulldog and half Hippo! This 2 year old brindle beauty is being fostered in Church Hill, MD. Buddha is scheduled for spay surgery in early August, and will be officially available for adoption once she's on the mend.
Active for an English Bulldog, Buddha LOVES the baby pool at her foster home, and is equally excited by the hose. We are pretty sure she would enjoy any safe water game her human can think of. She is making great strides with leash walking manners and is 100% ready to walk when you are ready. Buddha would do well with a semi-active family as long as rigorous events are not part of the plan....after all, she is a bulldog, not a service dog. Her paws are crossed in hopes of finding a forever home with a fenced yard since she is such an outdoor enthusiast.
Buddha entered rescue due to a family medical situation, and her family's desire to give her the best possible home in which to thrive. Through no fault of her own, she is now seeking another forever family and will reward you by being your most loyal companion. She enjoys the company of people first and foremost. Buddha plays well with the Great Dane in her foster home, but clearly likes to be the alpha dog. She would be over the moon if you have a laid back companion dog who will allow her to be the superstar. Slow introductions with any other resident dog is recommended. She would also be happy as an only dog, as long as she gets a lot of attention from the people of the house. She is reactive to cats and will chase them, so a home without household cats is important.
As a playful, 60 pound youngster, Buddha is recommended to live in a household with children older than 5, or with adults only. After a busy day of outdoor exercise, followed by watching the Olympics on the sofa with her bestie, Buddha accepts the crate as her over night hang out, and sleeps through the night.
This young lady is in good health, with no known medical conditions, other than she needs to avoid eating chicken. She is currently fed beef kibble. If you enjoy the outdoors as much as Buddha, the brindle beauty, submit your S.N.O.R.T. adoption application today to meet this future Olympian.
