Miss Cella has all the manners of a charm school graduate, so if you've grown weary of chewers and bedwetters, this senior Boston Terrier may be the perfect dog for you! Cella was surrendered into rescue due to a child's allergies and she is being fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Although she is a perfect house guest, Cella very much wants a forever family of her own again.
Described as very active for her age, this 11-year-old enjoys long daily walks and will give you the Boston stink eye if you try to protest, even in the 90-degree summer weather. Equally enthusiastic over her toy basket, Cella is known to dig for the perfect toy of the day and bring it to her human to play fetch. This charm school graduate is also crate trained and house trained and will obediently give kisses upon request.
As a huge fan of both children and adults, Cella especially adores children in the 10-year-old age range, who want a 4-legged playmate to romp with during the day and someone to snuggle in the person bed at night. She is slightly unsure around babies and toddlers. She is not a fan when meeting other dogs and will need slow introductions. Upon first meeting, Cella can be aggressive to other dogs, but has learned to coexist nicely with a Yorkie during foster care. She is untested with cats.
Most of all, Cella yearns to belong in a family like she once did. Her perfect world consists of playing with children/adults during the day, taking long walks, loafing on the sofa toward evening and sleeping in the person bed, under the covers at night. She takes biscuits very gently, knows 'sit' and 'paw' commands and would thrive in just about any type of environment, whether city or rural, apartment or small or large family home, as long as she gets ample human attention and daily walks. She does not need a fenced yard and is not on any medications. We also think Cella would make an excellent coworker during the day if you want to take her along to your job. She rides wonderfully in a car.
