Where’s our English Bulldog lovers at? This handsome man is Chance. He’s a 12 year old neutered English Bulldog who tips the scales at around 58lbs. Don’t let this age fool you. He is a young older gentleman. He came to SNORT because his family moved and couldn’t bring him with them. On top of losing his home he also has lost his hearing and is losing his vision. Due to this, he first experienced some anxiety while settling into his foster home. Who wouldn’t?
Chance would do best with a person, family, or couple who has experience with English Bulldogs and would have the time to care for his special needs and to be focused on giving Chance a routine so he becomes more comfortable and familiar with his surroundings, which will take some patience and adjustments. His foster family describes him as friendly, attentive, and loving. He suffers from anxiety with change but once he is settled, he is a happy boy. He’s been through a lot and deserves a family who puts him first. He wants to get all your attention and he deserves it. He is on Galliprant for arthritis, due to his age, and that should be continued for life.
Chance is good with other dogs, but needs a home without cats or children. Chance would do well in pretty much any home type, except a home with a lot of stairs. Chance’s ideal situation would be to be adopted by someone who is home all or most of the day, or someone who could take him to work. He loves being with people. That is his number one request and it helps with his anxiety. English Bulldog experience would also be preferred. He recently had a mass removed from his spleen, but has been cleared for any types of cancer! He’s had a dental and some mild allergies are being treated. His foster family says “he’s a great dog whose loving, friendly, and wants to be with his people. He’s older but has a lot of life and he still is spunky and rambunctious from time to time”. If you think you’d like to bring his sweet boy into your life and your situation fits his needs, please apply! This wise chap would love to meet you.
