Ever since I was weaned, I dreamed of someday becoming a writer. Now that I'm 3 and seeking my forever family, I decided this would be a perfect time to accomplish my goal & write my autobiography. My book is titled "The Sassy Adventures of Coco the Magnificent"
Chapter 1 - My fancy Self
As you can see, I like to dress up. My current wardrobe includes casual and formal. I can dress up any harness or collar with your help, so please remember I am a girl who likes her bling. I'm only 3 years old, so looking my best, even during COVID 19 is important to me. When I look my best, I feel my best. Whether cuddling on the sofa watching movies, or accompanying you to work, or out for a stroll, the perfect accessory always improves my mental outlook. This also brings me to a very important point. I must have central air conditioning. I can easily overheat so this is not an option. I'm demanding like that.
Chapter 2 - Starbucks
Sometimes it's hard even for writers to aptly describe a perfect moment. I can sum it up in one word. Starbucks. Just watch the attached video to see how enthralled I am with the magic window at Starbucks and the delightfully creamy Puppuccino that passes through that window & directly into my mouth. If my autobiography is a best seller, I intend to buy either Bitcoin or Starbucks stock. In addition to Starbucks, I am equally excited over Bark Box and unicorn toys. Actually, I like all toys, but unicorns are unique, just like me, so they are my absolute favorite.
Chapter 3 - The Daily Grind
My typical day is slightly different than most dogs because I've had more than my share of special needs which I refer to as "the daily grind". I have a condition called IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) otherwise a slipped disc.  It's necessary for me to do my physical therapy exercises and abide by my household restrictions which includes no jumping or roughhousing. The ideal forever home for me would be calm with adults only and/or calm pets. I get along splendidly with the resident pug and frenchie in my foster home because they are calm and allow me to get an abundant amount of human attention. I prefer someone around most of the time because supervision from humans will help me make wise choices. For example, I need to be lifted on and off of the sofa so that I don't injure my discs. My prior owners surrendered me to S.N.O.R.T. because of my medical/financial needs. While in S.N.O.R.T. I had very expensive spinal surgery and have recovered 90% so I must be diligent with therapy and restrictions. The dog doctor also says that in the future some of my other discs will need the same kind of surgery. Please, only apply for me if you can be my nurse and have the financial ability to handle my special needs because a future surgery on my back will be necessary at some point in my life. My gait is a little wobbly and also see what a great student I am with my exercises. Don't fret, I can take short potty walks and I know to do potty outside, even with my wonky spine. During inclement weather, I also use potty pads, so I know about them too! In addition to my P.T. exercises, I also take acupuncture. Fortunately, acupuncture is only weekly. In the past I've had palate surgery so I am a little more snorty than your average Frenchie. I'm told it adds to my character. I've had a lot of character building through my various surgeries. I take 3 medications as needed: Clomicalm (for when I get super excited - like Starbucks), Gabapentin (for my slipped disc) and Trazadone (to help me stay calm).
Chapter 4 - Living My Best Life
I'd like to close my book with all the positives I've learned through my medical trials and tribulations. I strongly believe it's important to live your best life and seize each day. For these reasons, I live in the moment. I pride myself on strong communication skills and my forever human will need to accept my vocal and sometimes opinionated self. The SNORT people feel that close neighbors or shared walls might make you unpopular with your neighbors because of how vocal I can be at times. I consider my healthy lungs a strength, but not all humans share my view on this subject, so an ideal forever home for me would include one with some privacy (and as I said central air) and a human that can accept that I sometimes talk back. I truly do have many positive traits. I'm described as a love bug and a super snuggler by my foster mom. I am crate trained and I enjoy everyone, even the cats in my foster home. I am an optimist and know that the right person is out there reading my book right now. If that person is you, please write to the S.N.O.R.T. people and tell them you want to apply for Coco the Magnificent.
