This brindle beauty found herself being rehomed due to some costly medical issues which was a hardship for her owner. Cookie had growths in her ears that required total ear canal ablation surgery. She is on the mend from the surgery, but she is also deaf as a result. In addition to her hearing loss, Cookie is visually impaired and relies on her human to be her eyes and ears. She considers humans to be the most fascinating thing on the planet & wants to be near one all the time. She would love it you work from home, or could take her to work with you. This polite gal travels well in the car. If you don't have a job, and want a couch buddy while binging tv, Cookie will gladly keep your lap occupied. With her total idealization of people, Cookie's foster mom thinks she could make an excellent therapy dog.
Little Miss is also a huge fan of the resident pug in her foster home. She would be on top of the world with excitement if you have 1 or more similar sized playful dog(s) with whom she can puppy wrestle with. A fenced yard would be the cherry on top of the sundae in Cookie's opinion. We think she feels more secure with people and other dogs nearby due to her visual and hearing deficits. As for children, school age or older would be best for Cookie. Since she is virtually blind and deaf, she would be unable to get out of the way of young children who are not savvy to her special needs.
This little princess is 100% house trained and does not require a crate since she's a perfect lady in the house...calm and quiet. She would thrive in any safe environment in which she gets a lot of human and canine attention.
