More About Me

Are you willing to open up your home - and your heart - to Duncan, a sweet senior Boston Terrier looking to live out his golden years in a loving forever home?

At 13 years-old, Duncan has life all figured out. He knows that staying in bed as long as possible is the best to start the day and that savoring one’s food is the best way to enjoy it; no rushing through life for this guy!

He is sweet, laidback and low-maintenance, making him the perfect addition for pretty much any home. Duncan does wonderfully with children – his foster home has a four and seven-year-old and he does well with their love and attention.

Duncan doesn’t mind fellow dogs, either. He prefers dogs who have the same mellow, laidback approach to life that he has; he loves to snuggle with his fellow couch potatoes! He isn’t the biggest fan of larger, male dogs, although he certainly isn’t aggressive toward them, either.

And don’t let his age and propensity for lazing around fool you – Duncan still has some energy left in his 21-pound body. He has spurts of typical Boston Terrier energy, simply loves playing with balls and is occasionally up for a stroll with his humans.

He is fully housetrained and crate trained and even knows “sit” to get his treats! He has a few masses on his body, two of which were aspirated and found to either be benign cysts or fatty tumors – nothing dangerous – and most likely just due to his “mature” age. He also occasionally shakes a bit but that’s chalked up to age, as well. He has a slight heart murmur which doesn’t impact him but because of that, his foster home opted against having him placed under anesthesia for a dental.

Duncan can do stairs, but his foster home doesn’t have many and his foster mom occasionally carries him up and down stairs just to prevent him from hurting himself. Therefore, it would be ideal if his forever home had limited stairs or an owner who was willing to carry him if need be.

Duncan is fine on his own during the day, although he wouldn’t argue if he got a lunchtime potty break! He’d also be an ideal officemate – a lazy one, for sure, but also a very calm and quiet one!

If you can provide Duncan with a warm, loving and cozy home, fill out an adoption application. He is currently being fostered near Boston, Mass.
