Eugene the French Bulldog decided to go formal for his senior photo. Just look at this smart little dude in his bowtie! Now that he has officially graduated from the S.N.O.R.T. foster program, Eugene is available for adoption!
Eugene is estimated to be 2-3 years old and is being fostered in Rochester, N.Y. At his young age, he's already a world traveler, arriving in the USA from China on March 20, 2021. He's a sturdy, 27 pound active boy who would love to have a fenced yard to romp around in his forever home. Since Eugene is so energetic, he is best suited to a home with children older than 8 years old, or adults only.
This handsome man's favorite activities include playing with squeaky toys, policing the outdoors from his window perch, curling up on his foster Mama's lap for a nap, and exploring the indoors and outdoors. If you leave a stray shoe laying around, this little inspector is sure to find it and pick it up for you. He is described as very curious and loving.
He may look like an athlete, but Eugene is actually a little on the clumsy side. He could benefit from some training in manners. He does not understand that running full speed and jumping into his favorite person's lap may be met with some disapproval by the recipient. It is clear that this little man thrives when around people. Although he gets along well with his foster canine, he would also do well as an only dog. Eugene does have a high prey drive and loves anything that squeaks. For this reason, he is not recommended to live with other small critters in the house, including cats.
Upon entering the rescue, Eugene was treated for itchy skin. Frequent medicated baths and coconut oil rubs have kept him comfortable. He is crate trained, microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines and is working hard on potty training.
Eugene would do well in either a rural or city environment. Most of all, he loves being around people, and is hoping to find a forever home where someone will be around most of the day and have the energy to keep him stimulated.
