If only we could have “feelavision”. You would know that this sweet gal is the sweetest hug you can imagine. Please meet the lovely Fiona. 6.5 year old Fiona is SO sweet and loving. She really doesn't want/need anything except attention and snuggles. She is beautifully housebroken, eats like a champ, and is so sweet and laidback. She is the perfect companion dog for any person or family who wants as such. She doesn't need to be with you 24/7 - she enjoys her Fiona time to nap and lounge, but when you ARE around, she would love for you to sit with her, pet her, and talk to her. She was at a local shelter due to Pyometra. The hospital did an emergency spay and treated her, but her owners didn't want her back, so the shelter asked SNORT if we could take her into foster care.
Fiona currently resides with two young children and it was stated she has lived with children before. She is well behaved and allows the children to handle her.
Fiona deserves a family to dote on her and preferably where she can be the queen bee. She has shown no interest in socializing with the resident dogs and prefers the company of humans.
Fiona is very much a couch potato and shows very little interest in anything except getting snuggles and rubs by her people. When you stop petting her, she will paw at you to continue. This is her absolute favorite thing in the world. She is incredibly social with people - all people. Most of the time she sleeps, but will happily join in the socialization with humans. During a recent BBQ event, at her foster home, she was walking around from person to person for eight straight hours to get pets.
Fiona knows "sit". And she will give you her paw when she wants attention. She has a history of allergies and ear infections. She is recovering from a double ear infection now and doesn't show any symptoms of active allergies, but you can tell by her face that she's had allergies recently. Her foster home is controlling her allergies with diet and frequent ear and fold cleansing.
Fiona came in overweight and has lost some weight, but she still has a few pounds to go. She is not very active at all and she would rather stand in place and wait to be dragged instead of going for a walk. So, most of her weight loss will have to be controlled through diet and sneaky exercise (like the recent event mentioned above), where she is active without realizing she's active.
This girl just wants to get love and give love. In conclusion her wants are pretty simple: People and soft places to rest. Preferably as the main dog.
