Do you have it in your heart to care for a little pug who found himself suddenly surrendered by the only family he had ever known?
As low key, easy-going Frank approaches his twilight years - he’s about 11 years old and 15 lbs - he deserves a forever home of his own with people who will love him and be committed to caring for his special needs. Besides his physical needs, he doesn’t require much of anything other than to be fed and have people with whom he can cuddle.
On the physical side, Frank has a few issues. He has had his gall bladder removed so he must be on a special, low-fat diet. He also has a partially collapsed lung and collapsing trachea. In addition, arthritis is setting into his joints, so he is stiff and has trouble walking.
Because of his issues, Frank is fragile so we prefer a home with no children, a home without stairs, and with people who have experience dealing with his several physical problems. Other than that, he is fine with cats and other, small dogs, though he’s not too keen if they come near his bowl while he’s eating.
Although he is house-trained, he will have regular accidents because of his physical problems. This is one reason why we think a fenced-in yard would be ideal for him.
The lucky people who adopt Frank will be rewarded a thousand times over as this lovable, sweet and mellow little guy worms his way into heart and soul. Frank is being fostered near Hartford, CT., while he patiently waits for his forever home.
