Things were pretty lonely for Gizmo in his previous home as the owners worked long hours and had two small kids so there wasn’t a whole lot of time for him. Now, in his foster home, he is thriving with his two dog siblings, fenced in back yard, foster parents who are home most of the time, and lots and lots of long strolls.
This boy adores his people and is friendly with everyone he meets. He has a laid-back personality but is also extremely active for an old guy. After an energetic exercise session, Gizmo is perfectly content to sleep in his bed or relax near his peeps.
After his lonely life, Gizmo deserves a home where he’ll be lavished with attention and love. The best situation for him would be for someone who works at home or a retired person or couple. All he wants is someone to hang out with, and who will take him for daily walks. Besides his walks, he also likes playing with toys, chewing on bones, and running around the back yard.
Gizmo is house-trained, but like all older beings, he would benefit from frequent potty breaks. He is healthy, not on any medication, and knows some simple commands including sit, lay down and stay.
The best environment for him is a suburb in a house with a big, fenced-in yard. Apartment living might be okay as long as he could get those daily walks.
