Irresistible Ivy is a loveable little lady pug–mix who came to SNORT when her owner had to relocate out of the country. This 5-year-old lass is retired from breeding and her favorite hobbies now include cuddling and building a toy collection in her bed. Ivy gets along great with the other pug-mix in her foster home, but can be a bit of a toy-hoarder and bossy lady if she doesn’t feel like sharing.
Her foster Mom describes Ivy as a Velcro cuddler and curious explorer who is excited about everything. Ivy will even greet her people with a happy “welcome home” dance when they return from work.
Miss Ivy tends to get so attached to her people that she can demonstrate some separation anxiety when left alone. Her new family should be willing to work with Ivy on her anxiety, which manifests itself in howling.
Ivy is mostly housebroken but may have an accident if she has waited too long to go outside. She loves taking walks around the neighborhood and currently enjoys a mid-day visit from a dog walker. Ivy is a health gal and does not currently take any medication other than monthly heartworm prevention.
Ivy would do best in a home with a single person or couple. She doesn’t mind children when she sees them on the street, but seems to prefer adult company. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, as long as they allow her to be the boss. This people- pleasing pug-mix would probably love to try out some obedience training; at the moment her two commands are: sit and look cute. She would also make a great work companion, and would likely just lay in her bed and chew on her favorite toy.
Ivy is a precious, well-behaved girl who just wants someone to love her as much as she loves them. She's looking for a human who wants to compete in staring contests (because she will win) and be comforted with cuddles (when they lose).
