This is no ordinary Jane. Most dogs live in the moment, but Janey, the young French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix, has several future plans. Janey's goal sheet includes the following:
1)Â Make new dog friends
Since she is outgoing and friendly, Janey knows this goal will be easily attained. Janey loves people and dogs and wants to be with them, in the midst of the action. She enjoys the large breed dogs in her foster home, and can hold her own in daily play. This social butterfly would do well in a forever home with 1 or 2 canine siblings. We also think she would do well with a family with children over 5 years of age, and make a great sidekick to take along to soccer games. She rides well in the car and is always up for a human adventure, or outing to a dog park.
2)Â Find a forever home
Janey's primary life goal, is to find a forever family. She dreams of her own pack involving people and another dog or two. She's a busy bee who likes to be included in human activities and thrives on attention. She LOVES to play fetch and has a favorite ball. She walks well on a leash and sleeps well in a crate through the night. We feel she would adjust to any dog safe environment: city, suburbs, townhouse, single family home, etc. Right now she resides in Church Hill, MD, but is willing to relocate anywhere in the northeast. An ideal person or family for Janey would be active side and enjoy being outdoors. She does require a fenced yard due to her age and high exercise demand. Janey was surrendered to S.N.O.R.T. due to her high activity level as well as some gastric-intestinal issues, which are under control now with diet and daily Pepcid,10mg. As a puppy, she broke her front leg which was surgically repaired with a plate and screws. Additionally, she has bilateral luxating patella's in both hind legs, which currently does not slow her down at all. Janey's forever person will need to be aware that as she ages, her legs could bother her more. It's also important for her to maintain a healthy weight throughout her life.
 3) Become the next fleece model for Orvis-Dogs
This is a lofty goal, but Janey is an optimist. As an athlete, outdoor enthusiast (and of course, a girl) Janey dreams of a large wardrobe and plans on staying warm in the chilly months ahead. What better way to do this, than to become a cover model for a dog clothing company. Janey enjoys all activity with her human adventure seekers. She photographs well from all angles and hopes to catch the eye of a photographer and launch her modeling career. Although this goal may be somewhat unattainable, Janey would also be satisfied with a forever person who enjoys photography and is willing to take photos of her and send them back to her S.N.O.R.T. alma mater upon graduation.
