Meet Kobe, a 3 year old, 25lb Boston Terrier who is full of puppy energy and spunk!
This handsome redhead came to SNORT with a dislocated hip and required an FHO surgery, which his owner was unable to afford. Since his surgery, he's been receiving weekly physical therapy and laser treatments and is free to run an play as much as he pleases (which is a LOT!) He'd be happiest in a home with a large yard to run around in. Apartment life would not be a good fit for Kobe, because he does tend to be vocal.
Sweet, goofy Kobe is a champion snorer and an amazing snuggler, but is still a puppy in many ways. He has a strong desire to chew and tug and will let you know when he's bored by tugging at your pant legs!
Kobe would not be appropriate for a first time owner and will require an adults-only home where he is the only dog. Crated for most of his life, he has extremely limited impulse control and will require an owner who is willing to commit to working with a trainer on developing and reinforcing appropriate manners.
Kobe thrives on a consistent routine involving lots of stimulation, both physical and mental. Once his needs are met, you will find yourself with a super snuggly boy who wants to hang out with you on the couch and catch up on your favorite shows.
Kobe is fully housebroken, knows "sit", "touch", "lay down", "shake hands" and is getting good at responding to his name. His foster mom is also diligently working on "leave it", "wait" and "look"!
