Described as a sweet, loving goofball, 4 year old Libby, the English Bulldog is already a jet setter – arriving in the USA from China in March. Her future plans include a more laid back pace and & she is looking for a human companion/family to while away the hours with. Libby weighs 56 pounds and resides in Exton, PA with her foster mom and canine crew, and is officially available for adoption.
Libby’s favorite activities include snackies, belly rubs, hanging out in her favorite chair and emptying the toy box in her foster home. She needed slow introductions to the other small and medium sized dogs in her foster home, but adjusted after a bout of jealousy. Although she gets along in a group, this young lady would be most happy as an only dog…therefore getting all of the human attention herself. She has not been exposed to cats or children, but would probably be best suited in a home with children over 5 years old. Since she is a bulldog, Libby has a little bit of a stubborn streak and needs some prompting to go outside. As a true couch potato, Libby would make the perfect binge-worthy TV companion.
This quiet young lady is a non-barker who would do well in just about any environment – apartment, home, city, suburb, as long as she has people willing to fuss over her and lots of snacks to sample. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She was treated for whipworms when she first entered rescue and has no other known health issues.
Libby will be the first to admit she’s not much of a scholar and has not truly embraced learning commands or showing due diligence in the potty training department. This will come with time, but Libby will need a patient trainer and lots of praise and rewards along the way. Her velcro personality and cuteness are well worth your training efforts.
Are you that patient bulldog enthusiast that Libby has traveled around the world to meet? If so, submit a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application!
