We love it when we help a puppy be just that – a puppy. And thanks to the wonderful
care London has received in his foster home, he has been able to spend more and
more time being the fun, active puppy he is!
London suffers from chronic GI issues but has made leaps and bounds in his foster
home. While his GI issues will never be cured and his IBS will be a lifelong condition, he
has made so much progress. The frequency of his episodes has decreased, he’s
gained weight, and his coat is shiny and beautiful! Which means he gets to spend more
time doing whatever his puppy heart desires, which ranges from playing with his doggie
siblings (he and his female sister were immediate BFFs!) to chewing on Benebones and
snuggling with his humans.
Even though London suffers from IBS, he is currently not on any prescription
medications, just a regiment of supplements that will need to be maintained in his
forever home.
London has had pretty minimal exposure to children but seems to be fine with them. He
must, however, go to a cat-free home. London has a bit of a prey drive when it comes to
felines, so he needs only human or doggie siblings in his forever home.
While London is housetrained, he does have an occasional accident in the house due to
his GI issues. He is cratetrained, though, and is starting to pick up on some other basic
commands, like responding to his name.
Outside of his tummy issues, London is a healthy guy. He has no mobility restrictions or
limitations and would thrive in pretty much any kind of home environment. He’d be a
great coworker, as well, either at a home office or outside of the home. He excels at
relaxing next to his person and we think company morale would skyrocket with him
around!
While we know there are financial and time considerations when it comes to adopting a
dog with GI issues, we think – in our totally biased opinion – that London is worth it a
million times over, so get your application in ASAP!
