This sweet, goofy, cuddly boy is a typical Frenchie: give him some play, some lovin’, and some sleeping, and he is happy.
Despite his ever-present exuberance and lust for life, he mysteriously was the victim of a broken jaw and
cheekbone, which, the vets say, came from a severe impact. What that impact was remains unknown.
His owners had the initial necessary treatment done, but could not afford the cost of another surgery to
remove the appliance that kept his jaw in place while it healed. Thus, he was surrendered to S.N.O.R.T.
Louie loves people and has great fun with his 2 fellow brothers, both neutered Frenchie males.
If you have heard the term Velcro dog, there is no better example of it than Louie. He was sadder than sad leaving his owner mama,
and now, he firmly attaches himself toa person. He is not possessive or resource guarding.
For such a young boy, Louie has a number of arthritic issues – in his jaw and right knee, in particular. He
is on specific chews to help with joint support. Also, when he arrived at his foster home, he had eye
ulcers, which have healed, but that left him with some vision loss in the right eye. Thank goodness he doesn't have to read.
His favorite things? Number 1 on the list is to be wherever, whenever you are. A more faithful
companion you can’t possibly imagine. His next favorite thing is to play with another dog, so a home
with a resident pup would be preferred. Louie will be happy with anyone, anywhere, provided he gets lots
of human companionship and loving. Take to work? He would be perfect! Work from home? Louie’s heaven on earth. An active family that
takes him to family activities? An ideal situation.
There are some things that his new owners need to know about this special boy.
1. He is a “sensitive soul” that loves to be with his person a little more than the average clinger.
2. He wants to go everywhere with his person, loves to travel, and seriously picks his favorite
human.
We always think the wise words from the foster Moms tell the best and truest stories about our pups.
Here’s what Louie’s foster Mom has to say:
Louie has been through so much in his young life and despite whatever happened to him, he still loves his
people and loves life. He just needs a family who is aware of his past injuries which will likely require
more than the average health care down the road.
If you can be committed to Louie for the long haul, and be able to financially and time-wise give him
what he needs, then fill out the application below.
