Maggie was very well loved by her former owner, but was unable to remain with them when they relocated. Born and raised in NYC, Maggie is not bothered by city sights and sounds. She’s a quiet dog who never barks, so apartment life would suit her just fine. She’d be thrilled with a yard in the suburbs, but it’s definitely not a necessity for her.
Good with kids of all ages, Maggie loves to play with the toddler in her foster home. She’s very friendly with other dogs, though not overly playful. We don’t think she’d have any issue sharing her home with another canine companion.
Never wild or wound up, she has the perfect balance of fun energy at home and is satisfied with a daily walk for exercise. Maggie’s primary goal in life is to snuggle on your lap.. your shoulder.. your feet.. your stomach.. she’ll settle anywhere you let her!
Maggie is perfectly house trained and in very good health, aside from dental disease which she had when she came to SNORT. Maggie had 12 teeth removed and is doing wonderfully now, but there was one tooth that the vet was unable to remove during the safe anesthesia window. Her adopters should plan to be diligent about keeping her remaining teeth cleaned and expect to have the remaining diseased tooth extracted in 6 months to a year.
Maggie’s foster says “Whoever adopts her is incredibly lucky! She is just the happiest, most easy going dog we have ever fostered. She wants to play, kiss and snuggle more than anything in the world. She loves attention and needs nothing more than that in life!”
