This head turning 10-month-old youngster is Milly the French Bulldog! Although she has all the looks of a princess, Milly is much more of a tom-boy and prefers tug-of-war over a day at the spa. She is currently living near Buffalo, N.Y. and is seeking a permanent home with an active person or family.
Milly was surrendered to S.N.O.R.T. due to some serious G.I. issues which are now under control with special diet as well as probiotics and prebiotics. Milly will need to be closely monitored with snacks and meals to keep her healthy and comfortable.
With her belly feeling better, this 22-pound spitfire has all the energy of a pup her age and can be seen doing zoomies in the fenced yard, playing vigorously with her nylabones and benebones and 'tough chewer' invincible toys. One of her favorite solo play activities is to push her favorite bone across the floor, then catch it and push it again. Sometimes she will cover her prize with a blanket, only to 'discover' it again! Silly Milly also gets along very well with all 3 of her foster canines, regardless of size or gender. She is the life of the party and adores attention.
This little Miss ideally would like a home with people who can take her with them on outings, and/or work from home. She is young and still working on potty training, so she needs a consistent schedule of going out to do her business every 2-3 hours. She also would love a fenced yard and someone with at least one other canine buddy who enjoys playing and is willing to become her mentor. Milly is a quick study, but also has a tad bit of bulldog stubbornness and will gladly do what she wants to do, but not always comply with what her human may think she should do. She is crate trained and knows the "sit" command but will admit that recess is much more entertaining than school. Learning commands may be best accomplished with treats and positive reinforcement techniques by a person whom she knows loves her and will try to do things her way.
Milly enjoys the outdoors including time in a fenced yard and leash walks with her person. She would thrive best in a suburban or rural area since she will bark at something that she considers out of place. Most of all, Milly is seeking true companionship & patience as she works through her puppy manners, and an owner who is willing to become her nutritionist and keep her comfortable and healthy. She is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and does not take any prescription medication.
If you are the active and patient person of Milly's dreams, fill out a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application today.
