One squishy-face, huggable, bundle of joy, love and happiness: enter Moana! Another EBD saved from the horrors of a Chinese puppy mill is now safe and sound on USA land. This energetic girl is overflowing with love and devotion for humans and puts her whole being into making them happy. Are you going to be the object of her devotion?
Moana is an alpha female which means her encounters with other dogs have been edgy. She growls and puffs up, even in controlled situations when faced with another canine which means she needs a home where she can be the one and only shining star.
Because of her harsh and lonely life before USA, Moana never learned how to behave. Thus, she becomes a bursting ball of energy when someone shows any interest in her. All this energy is positive as she has not a single mean bone in her EBD body. She will benefit from obedience training, which will not only help her learn how to redirect her energy, but also cement her relationship with her human: the proverbial win-win.
This friendly, outgoing, and active mischief maker loves going on walks with her foster mother. She also loves most toys including stuffed animals, balls, Nyla bones, and boxes. She is always happy and energetic but can calm down when you redirect her. Moana has a huge amount of potential and just wants to make people happy and to always be with them.
Moana is nearly housebroken as long as she is let out every 4 hours. She does well in the crate and is generally healthy except for a UTI for which she is on antibiotics. When left alone, she should be crated as she has a tendency to otherwise get herself into mischief. As long as it’s with humans, she will do well in most any home, including a single person, younger couple, adults only, women only, men only and owners with or without short-nose dog experience. She would not do well in a city environment, but a home in the suburbs, rural area, a townhouse, or single family house would work.
Note: fenced in yard required! Moana loves basking in the sun as well as playing outside. She is also quite adept at keeping the yard free from small creatures such as squirrels, rabbits and birds. Long car rides are not recommended as she seems to get car sick, though medication could eventually help with this.
As always, our foster Moms have the keen and loving insight into their charges: “Moana deserves everything loving and good that comes her way. She is a happy, loving and busy dog. The greatest gift you can give Moana is a home with people who love her and spend time with her. Moana is a squishy-faced bundle of joy, love and happiness. She just needs someone who can give her time and help her learn how to behave. She will learn quickly if she knows it makes her people happy!” If you can give this squish ball the perfect life, please apply for her today!
