Nellie is yet another dog who came to the shores of the United States from China with smile on her lips and a big wag of her tail. And now that she’s acclimated to a home with her foster family, she is a darling little busy-bee who can get into mischief as she actively explores her new world.
Nellie gets along with all people, all ages and so a home with young children as well as one with adults would be fine. She is a pup who readily goes with the flow and is friendly and outgoing to all. Nellie is happy to go for walks (as long as the grass isn’t wet) as well as to hang with her humans on the sofa. She also loves a good play session with another dog.
Nellie is basically in good health except for some digestive issues that may be attributed to the change in diet from China to the U.S. She has skin and ear issues that need care, both of which are under control with bathing and ear cleaning. Nellie is also a poop eater, which again may be the result of conditions in China. As a preventive measure, she needs lubricating eyedrops twice daily.
As is true with the other dogs coming from China, Nellie didn’t know how to play. That is being quickly being remedied as she delights in her new stuffie and chew bone toys.
Little Nellie is amazingly resilient and blossoming after her hard and dismal life in the Chinese dog farm. She is a pup who deserves serious spoiling by her new family. Sweet Nellie would be fine with people who will love her up and dote on her for the rest of her life. Any living environment would also work for her including city, suburbs, rural, apartment, townhouse or single family home but most importantly someone who can be home most of the day with her. She's spent enough time alone before she came to the U.S.
Her foster Mom, who has become smitten with Nellie, says:
