Just call me your middle-aged Diva, otherwise known as your very own lovebug. If there’s one thing for sure, I love my peeps and I really want some I can call my own. I don’t know why my original family gave me up, but one day their new puppy was bugging me big time and I gave it a little nip to tell it to back off. The next thing I knew, I was in a foster home.
Don’t get me wrong, my foster home is the best, but I still need my own forever home where I know I won’t be given up or betrayed again. I’m a six year old pug, weighing in at 25 lbs., who’s in search of of their forever home.
I am a really good dog. I am totally house-trained, can be left alone at home, uncrated, and don’t do any of those destructive things other dogs sometimes do, and I even know a few tricks! I don’t have any health problems, but I am a short-nosed dog, so some knowledge of that in my new home would be a good thing. I do have a cyst in my throat area that the vet says is no big deal, but it should be watched as I grow older. As is true with many pugs, I absolutely LOVE to eat, so my foster Mom put me on a weight control diet, which means no table scraps and just low calorie treats.
As I’ve grown older, some arthritis has set in my back legs so getting on and off the couch and dealing with stairs, well, I’m not as spry as I once was. I am on supplements for it and they do help.
Do I have an ideal home in mind? Yes! One where I can love and be loved. It doesn’t matter whether it is with just one person, or a family. Little children can be annoying to us Divas, so supervision is a must. I would also do well in any type of home – city, suburban, apartment, house. A fenced-in yard would be nice, but as long as I can get my daily walk in, I’ll be fine. Oh, and another dog for a friend would be nice, as long as he or she is not alpha.
I don’t need a lot of stuff, but I do like to chew on antlers and other dog chews. I also like to play with balls and squeaky toys.
I am just a sweet, easy puppy with a big heart who wants a family to call my own. If you’ve got room in your heart and home for me, please fill out an adoption application today!
