Polpettini

Polpettini
Named after the Italian recipe, Polpettini is a true foodie at heart. After all, she’s a Bulldog & enjoys snacks almost as much as meeting new friends. This 3 year old currently lives with her foster family near Providence, R.I. and weighs 45 pounds. You don’t have to be an expert in Tuscan cooking to relish all the goodness this little meatball has to offer.
Polpettini came to S.N.O.R.T. with a group of other Bulldogs from China on March 20th. Described as charismatic, goofy and loveable, Polpettini actually smiles when she meets newcomers. She could easily win the award for ‘most congenial bulldog’.  If you have a treat in your had and are willing to pet her, Polpettini will be your bestie in a blink of an eye and wag of a tail.
This charmer enjoys everyone and everything. She adores people, young and old, and made fast friends with Leo, the 1 year old lab/pit mix in her foster home. She even enjoys the company of the 2 cats in her foster digs, especially the male cat. She looks forward to outings at the dog park where there are many new people and dog friends alike. She tends to bounce and play hard, therefore would probably be best suited in a home without wee little people. Except for brief play times during the day, her favorite activity is to sleep! This young miss will be the first to tell you that she is not a fan of long walks or vigorous exercise with her human. If you are a mountain climber, leave her at home. She much prefers lazy days at home in which she can taste test your work in the kitchen and cuddle with you in the evening. She recently mastered couch jumping and can get up and down on the sofa all by herself. As an expert car passenger, this gal would make a perfect road buddy or work companion as long as you don’t mind the more than occasional snores and grunts common for the breed.
This young lady is working hard on her potty training and will signal with a bark when she needs to do outside business. She is in good health, but suspected have some permanent hearing impairment. When she first entered rescue, she was treated for eye irritation and appeared to have mild allergies which has improved with diet. (She is currently on Zignature kibble) in foster care. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with vaccines.
Since Miss Congeniality gets along so well with everyone and everything, she can be very flexible on her environment. Whether apartment, condo, house, farm, in the city or suburbs either with or without a fenced yard, this brindle beauty will adapt to just about any atmosphere as long as she is treated as an important member of the family.
If this lovable meatball has caught your eye, submit a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application to meet Miss Polpettini.
