Little baby girl Tilly has arrived into rescue and we are all very grateful to the amazing mom volunteers who dropped their Mother’s Day plans to help little her!
Tilly is just 12 weeks old but came into SNORT with a significant rectal prolapse and immediately went into surgery. The vets were able to do what’s called a “purse string” suture while this sweetheart was under anesthesia.
Tilly is currently recovering but has been straining which could cause the sutures to open again. She is staying in the hospital for a few days to be observed and cared for. If the purse string procedure fails, they will have to do a much more complicated surgery called a Colopexy right away. She will need to be closely monitored for now and over the next few weeks.
