Tory is another of our dogs who came to the United States rescued from China. Incredibly, she arrived here friendly, outgoing and with bundles of love for her new humans. She is a beautiful and very intelligent English bulldog
Amazingly healthy now, after going through a bout of pneumonia that was taken care of in her foster home, Tory has no physical issues other than being a tad clumsy, which is why we recommend a home without children under 5. She tends to be on the dominant side with other female dogs, especially when they approach her coveted human. Thus, no homes with female dogs.
Tory loves loafing on the couch and cuddling with her peeps, but she also loves time out in the backyard. She is crate trained and has no accidents outside the crate as long as she goes outside every 5 to 6 hours.
One heartbreaking fact is that Tory never really knew how to play, which is something she is now learning how to do. Right now, a good bone keeps her happy and busy.
The ideal home for Tory is first and foremost, with peeps who are around – a lot – as well as with people who will include her in their daily activities. Our goal is for a home with real dog lovers who will give her the best.
Tory doesn’t require a great deal of exercise and one or two easy walks a day would suffice. A city environment may be too stimulating, so we recommend a suburban or rural home, and she would love a nice yard.
