Welcome to S.N.O.R.T. Rescue

SNORT is an all-volunteer registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue based in the Northeast.  Its purpose is to rescue brachycephalic dogs (mostly French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs, and English Bulldogs) from shelters and owners who can no longer keep them, and place them into loving homes.  We believe all dogs should be given a chance and fair evaluation.  Man's best friend sometimes does not communicate in ways which we would like, and we pride ourselves for taking the time to understand their needs.  Through education, training and matching dogs to the right homes, we hope to reduce the number of brachycephalic dogs that are euthanized unnecessarily.

• Male Pug • 12 years old

This fantastic fellow is described as active for his age and his foster mom feels he would do well in any type of household that is interested in a companion dog, since Fernando loves to be with people.  He would be best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time, or able to take him along to work on occasion since he is more of a social butterfly than a wallflower.
